Our attention has been called by you to a number of complaints made against our firm in connection with the handling of the S/S "Fatshan" in the past which the Imperial Japanese Navy complain have given them much unnecessary trouble and inconvenience.
We regret that this should be so since we have never intended to cause the Imperial Japanese Navy any unnecessary trouble and inconvenience and we hope that in future our attention will be drawn at once to any particular instance when we will do our best to avoid any legitimate cause of complaint.
